Which format should I use?
- WebP: best for websites. Much smaller than JPG at the same quality, and supported by every modern browser.
- JPG: the most compatible choice for photos, email and older apps.
- PNG: for logos, screenshots and images that need a transparent background.
Converting to JPG fills transparent areas with white, since JPG has no transparency.
How to use the Image Converter

Frequently asked questions
Are my images uploaded?
No. Images are processed by your browser on your own device, so private photos never leave it.
Why is my PNG bigger after converting?
PNG is lossless, so photos saved as PNG are often larger than the JPG or WebP original. Use PNG for graphics and screenshots rather than photos.
Does it convert HEIC iPhone photos?
Use our dedicated HEIC to JPG tool, because most browsers can’t open HEIC files directly.
