Split CSV

Break a large CSV into smaller files, by rows per file or into a set number of parts. The header row is copied into every file.

When to split a CSV

Many tools have import limits: email platforms, CRMs, online stores and spreadsheet apps often reject files over a certain number of rows or megabytes. Splitting a large export into smaller files lets you import it in batches. Repeating the header row keeps every part importable on its own.

How to use the Split CSV

  1. Choose or drag in your CSV file.
  2. Pick rows per file, or how many files you want.
  3. Click Split file and download the .zip, or individual parts.

Frequently asked questions

Is my file uploaded anywhere?

No. The file is read and converted by your own browser, so it never leaves your device. That makes it safe for customer lists, finances and other private data.

Does it handle commas and line breaks inside fields?

Yes. Quoted fields containing commas, quotes or line breaks are kept intact, and the original delimiter (comma, semicolon, tab or pipe) is detected automatically.

How big a file can I split?

Files of tens of megabytes work well on most computers. Very large files depend on your device’s memory, because everything is processed locally.
