Keyword Suggestion Tool

Type a keyword to see what people actually search for around it, straight from Google Autocomplete, grouped into questions, comparisons and buying searches. Free, with no sign-up.

Where these keyword ideas come from

When you start typing in Google, it suggests ways to finish your search. Those suggestions come from what many people have searched before, which makes them a good, free source of real keyword ideas. This tool asks Google for suggestions for your keyword and for variations of it:

  • Questions: “how”, “what”, “why”, “can”, “is” and other question words in front of your keyword. Great for blog posts and FAQ sections.
  • for / vs / without…: words after your keyword that reveal comparisons and specific needs, like “banana bread without eggs”.
  • A–Z: your keyword followed by each letter of the alphabet, for the widest list. It takes a few seconds longer.

What this tool doesn’t show

Google Autocomplete doesn’t share search volumes, so this list doesn’t rank ideas by popularity. A suggestion means enough people searched it for Google to offer it, not that it gets thousands of searches. To prioritise, check the ideas in Google Keyword Planner or another keyword tool, or simply start with the ones closest to what your page or product offers.

Suggestions also change by country and over time, and Google removes some phrases from Autocomplete under its own policies. This tool uses Google’s public suggestion service, which isn’t an official API: if many people use it at once, Google may briefly limit it. If that happens, wait a few minutes and try again.

Turn the list into content

Copy the ideas into the Keyword Clustering Tool to group them into topics, one page per group. Use the question ideas as subheadings or FAQ entries, then check your draft with the SEO Content Checker.

How to use the Keyword Suggestions

  1. Type a short seed keyword, such as “banana bread”, and choose the country.
  2. Pick how to expand it: question words, words like “for” and “vs”, or every letter A–Z.
  3. Copy or download the ideas, then group them into topics with the Keyword Clustering Tool.

Frequently asked questions

Does this show search volume?

No. Google Autocomplete doesn’t share volumes. A suggestion means real people search it, but not how often. Check the shortlist in Google Keyword Planner to prioritise.

Why are the suggestions different from what I see in Google?

Google personalises suggestions by location, language and your own search history. This tool asks without any history, for the country you choose.

Is there a limit?

No daily limit from us. The tool uses Google’s public suggestion service, which isn’t an official API, so Google may briefly slow it down if it gets very busy.
