HEIC to JPG

iPhones save photos as HEIC, which many Windows apps and websites can’t open. Convert them to JPG, privately on your device.

—Output size

Your file will appear here.

Stop your iPhone saving HEIC

To get JPG photos straight from your iPhone, go to Settings → Camera → Formats and choose Most Compatible. Photos already taken stay HEIC, so convert those here. HEIC photos are about half the size of JPG, which is why Apple uses them by default.

How to use the HEIC to JPG

  1. Choose one or more .heic photos.
  2. Pick the JPG quality.
  3. Click Convert to JPG and download them.

Frequently asked questions

Are my images uploaded?

No. Images are processed by your browser on your own device, so private photos never leave it.

Why is conversion slower than other tools?

HEIC needs a special decoder, which runs inside your browser so your photos stay private. Large batches can take a little while on older phones.

Is the photo’s location data kept?

No. The converted JPG doesn’t include the original metadata such as GPS location, which is often a privacy bonus.
